Unable to undo the executed sleep command.
Hello,
I own a Lenovo P340 running Windows 10. I attempted to create a shortcut to automatically put my PC into sleep mode. I entered the command "powercfg /hibernate off" and created a .bat file with the following line: "%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0<br>". During this process, my computer displayed a black screen while still running. The music on the back remained active, and I could adjust the volume using the keyboard. When I powered off and then turned it back on, the PC restarted and went back to the black screen after the Lenovo logo and charging cycle.
After entering BIOS, I was able to use another PC with a bootable USB that installed Windows 10. The installation worked smoothly. However, about three minutes after connecting to the internet, the charging mouse icon appeared, and after a minute the screen turned off abruptly, just like when the issue began.
I tried the "Startup Repair" utility once; it didn’t work initially. After several attempts, it functioned correctly. On the desktop, a pop-up appeared stating, "We removed some recently installed updates to recover your device from a startup failure." Now I can access the PC, but the sleep mode option is missing.
I searched various methods to enable sleep mode, but none resolved the problem. (1) Restore or enable the missing Sleep option, 2) Restore Power Plans via command prompt, 3) Edit Group Policy, 4) Update Windows and Drivers.
The command "powercfg /availablesleepstates" returned this output:
The available sleep states on this system are:
Hibernate
Fast Startup
The unavailable states are:
Standby (S1)
Standby (S2)
Standby (S3)
Standby (S0 Low Power Idle)
Graphics also have standby states, but all are disabled by internal system components. Hybrid Sleep is not available.
BIOS Name: M2WKT46K
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
a windows driver error should appear when checking the bios for sleep mode settings.
