Unable to sync with 4K Crossfire
Unable to sync with 4K Crossfire
I observed the issue first in Skyrim, then in Black Mesa. It also appeared in CSGO, HL2, MK Komplete, Guild Wars 2 and other titles. At 4k resolution I experience chronic screen tearing, severe micro stutter or flickering shadows in certain games (shadows usually resolve by adjusting crossfire settings in CCC or reducing shadow intensity). If Vsync functions in a game, it alleviates the micro stutter and tearing—but it seldom succeeds. Activating Vsync in CCC or within a game caps my frame rate at 120fps, which doesn’t fully resolve the problems. Lowering the resolution to 2k helps, disabling one GPU works (though it significantly reduces performance on games where it’s essential). I’ve experimented with various configurations but haven’t found a consistent solution. Notably, in Metro Last Light Vsync operates smoothly on 4k Crossfire (graphics settings reduced to allow 60fps), while in Payday 2 and Crisis 2 Vsync limits the frame rate to 30fps. I noticed three peculiar situations: Metro Last Light, Payday 2 and Crisis 2 all see a cap at 30fps despite being set to DP1.2; the monitor settings appear correct, but the display still shows 30Hz. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated—please feel free to share more details if needed. Thank you ahead of time.
