Your PC starts up and functions properly at 2133MHz, but at 3200MHz it doesn't work and you had to reset the BIOS because the CPU was damaged. The specs show a Ryzen 5 3600, Aorus B450 Pro motherboard, 2x8 Trident RGB RAM at 3200MHz, an 860EVO SSD/HDD, a 2070 Super Windforce GPU, three PSUs, and an NXT H510i case. OS version is W10 with BIOS f51.

The RAM details aren't showing up in the QVL for that board. This could be a problem.

The board also shows 3200MHz as (OC) on the spec sheet. Consider trying 2933 to improve your chances.

Check if your slots match the motherboard specifications. Usually, the second and fourth slots from the side are where you place two DIMMs. Refer to the manual briefly for confirmation.

I'm in 2nd and 4th, RAM is working fine, I've tried everything I could find to resolve this issue.

Refer to the manual for proper placement—note the 2933max support on that board is unusual. The same site confirms what @Bad5ector mentioned.

xpm(3200) functioned properly until I disabled the CPU via BIOS, resulting in a black screen and forcing me to replace the CMOS battery. Now I’m stuck at 2166, and any higher value isn’t working.

The only advice I can give is to adjust your frequencies gradually. Ensure your RAM voltage is at least 1.35v, preferably 1.4 for testing. You may need to manually choose your clock speeds. Because the memory isn’t in the QVL and the board only officially supports 2933MHz from the start, your setup will differ each time. If you previously enabled XMP but can't now, your CPU’s memory controller might be damaged. Overclocking both memory and CPU clocks together increases stress, which isn’t guaranteed. Most listed speeds are overclocked results—reach them only if your board and processor support them. Anything higher is likely just chance.
