Unable to start from USB on your Dell laptop.
Hello, your Dell G15 5511 with Windows 11 setup is working well, but you're having trouble finding the Linux installer USB during boot selection. Try checking the USB drive location in BIOS/UEFI, ensure it's properly seated, and verify that the correct partition is selected. If the issue persists, reinstalling the USB or consulting Dell support may help.
Appreciate the clarification, but the items mentioned aren't showing up in my boot devices list—only those visible in the photo.
After setting up the SSD and restarting to Windows 11, the system should detect it automatically.
I checked disk management and set it up. Everything functions correctly.
I observed the video, the storage is blank and formatted. It mentioned that the BIOS doesn't matter whether it's UEFI or legacy, just needs to align with the Linux setup. The issue is it isn't displaying other bootable devices besides my C drive. I tested it on another older Dell laptop running Windows 10 with two SSDs, same problem—no USB boot option. Could this be a concern with Dell's G series laptops?
Disable secure boot as well, and verify your Linux installer supports UEFI boot.
