Hello everyone. I'm feeling really stressed right now and struggling to find a fix. Essentially, a brand new HDD with the operating system and applications won’t start up on my current laptop. I’ve been using a ThinkPad T430 for car diagnostics and have decided to upgrade. I purchased a ThinkPad P51 and installed two NVMe SSDs, hoping to dual boot Windows 11 and Windows 10 since my new machine requires different software that might conflict. I currently run Windows 11 alongside some coding tools, mostly for everyday tasks—not just car-related work. I bought fresh software pre-installed on the original HDD, but after cloning it onto a blank SSD, I can’t boot into Windows from there. When I try to select the SSD in the boot menu, nothing happens. I’ve adjusted my BIOS to allow UEFI and Legacy modes, but nothing changes. I disabled all security settings and still faced the same issue. I assumed the OS on the HDD was damaged, so I moved it to an external enclosure with the old T430 and successfully booted. It seems the HDD is functioning properly and hasn’t been corrupted. Do you have any insight into what might be causing this problem? I really need a solution without having to install OS or download programs from the HDD.
