I recently assembled my very first new system. It was thrilling and enjoyable, yet now I'm facing a challenge. When attempting to install Windows 10 from a USB drive I made using the download tool on the Windows website, the setup keeps failing or freezing. It stops right after the Windows logo or occasionally just after the motherboard logo when I select USB as the boot source. I've used various USB drives and tried both UEFI and regular USB modes, but the issue persists. The BIOS loads normally, all hardware appears correctly, and I'm seeking advice from anyone who might help. I'm feeling quite frustrated.

Connect the USB stick to a USB 2 port, typically black, or a USB 3 port if available.

Are you using two memory sticks? If yes, remove one and test—corrupted files might be the issue.

I've used just one stick at a time. Tested both 2.0 and 3.0 versions, but the issue remains. Once I reached the window setup where language selection was available, it froze immediately. Waiting close to an hour didn't solve the problem either.

Have you attempted to build a USB drive using the Windows installation files?

I've attempted to replicate the same stick, and I also tried making a few different ones, assuming the issue might be with the sticks. All of them are experiencing the same problem.

I needed to modify the motherboard BIOS to enable the 9th generation CPU, which was the one leading to freezing during installation.
