Unable to set up Windows 10 on your latest device.
Hi, I recently built a new pc and it looks great (First ever build). I’ve watched countless videos on building pcs for over a year before it so everything went together nicely. It is booting to the bios and everything appears to be working, no obvious hardware problems. My only problem occurred was when I was installing windows 10 from a usb 2.0 (micro sd card adapter thing not actual drive). I used the media creation tool from Microsoft’s official website and it installed no issues but when i plugged it in to the pc and tried boot it to install windows it gave a windows logo for about 15-30 seconds then to a blue screen for a small bit longer before my pc completely crashing. Other times it might give me small rectangle (like text prompt or something) flashing in the top left with a brief flash of the windows logo then weird lines all over my screen. I reinstalled the windows on to the same drive incase there was an error and I even used a different usb (micro sd card adapter thing but with different micro sd card) but the same thing happened. I built my pc on Monday and now it is Saturday. My Mobo doesn’t have on board graphics so I can’t use that I’ve tried. Someone please help I’m desperate. Thanks
Experienced with broken RAM chips—start by taking one at a time (if you have more than one) or borrow from another. This approach works well when assembling such projects. Providing your device details early is a smart move for these tasks.
Consider setting up a Linux USB drive, like Linux Mint, and test the boot process. If successful, you might attempt stress testing with tools such as Prime95.
SD cards tend to be slow, and the adapters may not function correctly except for standard data transfer. Opt for a USB flash drive instead—it's affordable and works well.
The only device around the house wasn’t functioning, but I’ll try Linux soon. If that fails, I’ll wait until I can locate a machine in rural Ireland.
