I just installed the latest Kali Linux version and need to add a new item in EasyBCD. The program tells me my system is in EFI mode, which blocks me from adding another entry. I looked into this and found that changing BIOS settings isn’t an option, and the only available modes are Legacy+UEFI and UEFI. Do you have any suggestions for getting around this?

I don't have a motherboard. Could you clarify what you're asking about?

Switch to UEFI configuration. Activate rapid startup mode. Navigate to the boot interface within fast startup and adjust secure boot settings.

The choice for secure boot is typically found in the device settings or security menu.

It appears to be positioned near the fast boot section. Contact MSI for guidance on activating secure boot.

Once Kali is set up, let me know if you experience issues with installing updates and new software. I attempted this about two months ago and noticed the mirrors were frequently down, which is why others are concerned.

I think Secure Boot is listed under the Security category in MSI's BIOS.

I refreshed my Kali last night and a few weeks back. I've always been smooth with updates. @op suggests live booting from a USB or using a VM, which I do.
