Unable to search network PC by name after upgrading to Windows 10 1803
Hi guys. I'm stuck trying to resolve a networking problem and really need some help. My network is laid out as follows. The problem I'm having: Since upgrading both Caprica and Galactica to 1803, Galactica is no longer visible in the Network section of windows explorer on Caprica. I cannot browse to it by hostname. It IS visible from Geminon. What I've tried: I can ping Galactica by name from Caprica. I can Remote desktop into Galactica by IP address from Caprica. I cannot by hostname. I have verified Network discovery is enabled on both Galactica and Caprica. I've unplugged my modem/router and let it power cycle. Galactica is running uTorrent and I CAN access the webui from Caprica using the web browser. Browsing to galactica by hostname worked until the Win 10 update. I'd prefer not to try a rollback, but any help would be appreciated.
I'm not sure on the exact steps, but there's a network selection type (home/work/public) and I found some things break if not using home. Maybe it got set differently as a side effect of the update process. Not sure how you change it from one type to another though.
