Unable to restore BIOS settings following an OC black screen.
System details: CPU Ryzen 3 1200, cooler stock, motherboard B350M PRO-VDH, RAM ballistix sport 4GB x2 at 2400MHz, PSU cx550. Issue involves a black screen upon boot, BIOS reset attempts failing, and debug LEDs indicating the CPU light is on. Error message shows CPU overclock failed with readings above limits. PC powers on normally but remains active even when power button is connected. Recent troubleshooting steps included shutting down PSU, holding power button for 20 seconds, removing battery for 3 minutes, reinserting it, and attempting to turn on the system. However, no improvement occurred. Mouse, keyboard, and PC functionality are working. Requesting assistance.
Consider disconnecting the power cord from the PSU first, then take out the battery to test. It’s possible that keeping it plugged in still supplies just enough power to prevent the BIOS from resetting.
When discussing the PSU cable, I attempted to disconnect it during a BIOS reset. Regarding the PSU motherboard power cord, I tried resetting the BIOS while it was disconnected, but that didn't succeed.
