You're facing some challenges with Windows 10. It seems like you're trying to perform a clean installation but encountering issues with updates and error codes. Since you're aiming for a clean setup, consider backing up important data first. If the update keeps failing with code 0x800700c1, try resetting your settings or using the recovery options. For a fresh start, look into using the Windows Recovery Environment to guide you through the process.
What version of windows 10 are you running? Is it very up-to-date or rather old? If it's an older version I know a tool that can be used to download incremental ISO versions. If it's a recent version, you're better off downloading a fresh ISO off Microsoft's website and just formatting the boot drive, and installing fresh that way
Sure. But first I realized you need to fix any corrupted system files. Launch CMD with admin rights and run "sfc -scannow". If it fixes some files, restart your PC and attempt an update again. If that fails: 1) get the Windows 10 ISO from the link https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software...ndows10ISO 2) execute this program. If you encounter another error during the update, use a USB drive 3) convert your USB to a Windows installer using the provided ISO 4) power off the PC and disconnect all drives except the main boot drive (this is useful) 5) restart with the USB connected, then enter BIOS and pick USB as your startup option 6) when you reach the installation screen, you should see an option to format the primary drive and start fresh.
