I own a RAID 1 4TB HDD setup, created using Windows Computer Management. Recently, a minor incident caused the power cable to be pulled out of the UPS, resulting in one drive being marked as Missing and Failed. I attempted to right-click and try to reactivate it, but it didn’t respond. Using DISKPART in the command prompt didn’t help either. I’d like to verify if the drive is healthy and whether its status shows as missing or failed. Can I reactivate this second HDD without erasing its data? I still have the contents, but I prefer not to re-download the 3TB of cloud data just in case my internet speed drops. Once the issue is resolved, I’m considering unplugging the other drive just in case it’s at risk.

Certainly, it will indicate that one half of the raid is missing. Insert the other drive containing the raid and retry.

I took out the mirrored drive after attempting a fix, which means it’s clearly not the issue. You can still insert it if you’d like me to try something else.

Something to note though, Its been about a month since this happened, and its just now that i had the time to fix it. During that time i might have swapped which sata port both drives connected. I might have also changed the drive letter of the disk that was still working ( though this is unlikely as the drive letter its on now is what i remembered)
