The main focus should be removing Civ VI without any further effects. Make sure the deletion is complete so the area is restored as needed.

Did you attempt removing it via the client (Steam, Epic, w/e)? Typically that’s the recommended method. At least on Windows.

I removed Steam completely and before that I believed I had removed all the apps.

Choose the options from the list and remove them by dragging. Clear the trash afterward.

In that window tap Show in Finder, then launch the terminal. Enter rm, press space, move the file from Finder to the terminal to specify its path, then press enter to delete it.
