You faced difficulties reducing a volume using disk management tools. Despite selecting the desired size, no changes occurred. When using CMD, the process stopped after entering your command and left blank. Attempting a 10GB size took over five minutes without progress.

Windows defrag detected recently. There was something running, and the process ran at 0.6% size reduction. It seems the drive might be too slow for effective defrag, so I stopped it and ran a full defrag now. The system shows 19 days since the last run on my SSD—though I expected it wouldn’t need defrag, but Windows handled it automatically.
