Hello, your friend is trying to play CS2 using Faceit but faced a TPM 2.0 requirement. We bought a TPM 2.0 module from AliExpress that matches the pin layout of their Gigabyte motherboard. After installing it, everything worked and was recognized properly. A new challenge emerged: Secure Boot needs to be turned on for full functionality. In BIOS settings, enabling Secure Boot forces us to disable CSM, restart, and then retry. The process gets stuck after disabling CSM and rebooting—it freezes on the default Gigabyte BIOS screen and won’t boot further. Once CSM is off, the system becomes unresponsive until we reset it via CMOS or BIOS jumpers. The drive runs in GPT mode, which we confirmed multiple times. We’ve reinstalled Windows 11 several times using the official ISO and Rufus, and the BIOS is always updated. The monitor connects via HDMI, and we’ve also tried DisplayPort. The graphics card is a GTX 1060 with current drivers, including DP firmware support. The motherboard is Gigabyte B365M-D3H, processor i5-9600K, and the SSD is Kingston SNVS500G. We’ve also tested with an RX 580 and integrated graphics, but Secure Boot remains disabled. Help needed to reset CSM and restore UEFI access before enabling Secure Boot?

Yes, I received the correct module, GC-TPM2.0_S.

The module appears to work correctly on Windows and BIOS, but it doesn’t match the exact model from aliexpress—a Gigabyte LPC 12 Pin—though compatibility shouldn’t be an issue. The bigger problem is that we can’t access the UEFI after turning off CSM.

It was around $65 in my area. It's the only option available. It isn't responsible for the main problem.

Avoid using a physical TPM; it’s not required. 8th Gen Intel CPUs and later include an fTPM in the BIOS—this is Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT). Check the BIOS settings to locate it and access your TPM in Windows.

Still facing trouble with Secure Boot, especially after turning off CSM due to a BIOS warning. The main problem seems to be around the Gigabyte logo.

Based on the layout of partitioning, you may need to first erase the drive with DISKPART CLEAN before installing Windows 11 25H2. Follow these steps: Start with the Windows 11 installation media, select repair mode and open Command Prompt. Execute DISKPART CLEAN on that physical disk. Power off the system and reset CMOS settings. Restart and enter BIOS. Ensure Intel PTT is active, non-CSM (UEFI) boot is enabled, and Secure Boot is turned on. Then boot from the Windows 11 media and install the operating system.

The component is referenced under GC-TPM2.0_S. Multiple entries appear in the search results, but the manual specifies it's the sole supported option. This could indicate an issue with functionality.
