Unable to reach HDD following the installation of a new NVMe SSD.
I shared this information on the forum a few days ago before buying an NVMe SSD. Some users mentioned that my motherboard shouldn’t block SATA ports because the SSD is NVMe, not M.2 SATA. I currently have three storage devices connected via SATA, but only one is functioning properly now.
It wouldn’t hurt to disconnect and reposition your SATA cables. Are the drives showing up in the BIOS? If you remove the new SSD, do they start functioning again?
Sorry for the confusion. If the motherboard indicates a drive is present, then yes.
Displayed on the screen after a reboot. Also, SATA 4 isn't detected. This suggests you might be able to use SATA 4 as well, or that it's turned off.
Not Present indicates no device connected to that port. Your motherboard guide says SATA 4 turns off when you add a SATA M.2 SSD. It should function with an NVMe SSD instead. You can verify it without spending money by testing with one of your current drives on SATA 4.
