Normal operation is expected without XMP interference. Activate XMP, set frequency to 2933 or 3000MHz, and configure 1.4V memory voltage with 1.1V SOC voltage.

zen+ features a selective memory controller. It doesn’t officially back memory beyond 2933, though some cases succeed by chance. Others fail. If the issue persists after placing them in slots 2 and 4, turn on XMP and manually reduce the frequency to 2933 for a fix.

Thanks, I’ll give it another shot when I’m back home. I wasn’t aware XMP influences CPU clocks too—maybe the issue isn’t with the software but because I overclocked the iGPU on my processor. I’ll turn that off and test RAM next.

Thanks for the assistance. I’m planning to switch to a Ryzen 3000 or 4000 soon, and if I need to keep things at 2933 for a while, it’s okay.

It shouldn't happen because it could lead to instability, which is why memory OC takes priority over everything else.

Ensure the board's BIOS is current before installing the new component, as outdated firmware might prevent compatibility. It’s unlikely your setup supports the 4000 chips, though this isn’t confirmed.
