Sorry, the instructions were a bit unclear. Are you trying to operate the mouse on the boot screen? Have you tried using the keyboard, arrows, and enter? Options are available. The internal drive and CD-ROM boot are supported. If the laptop is very old without a DVD drive, you’d need to use a CD as the storage medium since it can’t read DVDs.

There may be several reasons why your DVD won't boot after burning. 1. The disc was burned incorrectly, making it non-bootable. 2. The image was downloaded improperly, resulting in an incomplete file that can't be used. 3. The system is attempting to boot legacy mode when the BIOS supports UEFI exclusively or vice versa; secure boot might be active (I notice this is enabled—disable it). 4. The DVD drive itself may be faulty; consider redownloading and re-burning a fresh copy, ideally on USB rather than DVD.
