When I open BIOS and adjust the CPU core ratio to 40.00, it resets back to 34.00 upon restart. My system runs a Ryzen 2700 and uses an Asus TUF B450 plus gaming motherboard. Regarding overclocking the GPU with MSI afterburner, I need to check if it requires restarting each time Windows starts. Is setting core clock at +175 and memory at +200 sufficient for the RTX 2060?

Occasionally adjusting the voltage core configurations is necessary when boosting clock speeds beyond the standard setting. In some cases, certain adjustments can be made without altering the voltage. If you frequently encounter blue screens or unexpected restarts, it may be worthwhile exploring voltage options for overclocking.

Regarding your final question, yes—each time you launch Windows, you’ll need to configure your profile settings to activate your overclocked GPU parameters. A method to permanently push your GPU over its limits is to update the BIOS, though this should only be done if you’re confident in handling the process. Good luck!

Initially, adjusting the core ratio to 40.00 doesn't cause a crash or blue screen; it simply returns to 34.00. For your second concern, enabling the startup option in MSI afterburner still requires starting MSI afterburner each time.

If the overclock proves too unstable, it might stop functioning entirely and return to earlier configurations. It’s worth testing a modest increase in frequency (just a few multipliers) to determine if the settings remain stable.

I attempted to go from 34.00 to 35.00 but it keeps reverting back to 34.00. It has an OC tuner that turns on automatically even when disabled. The VDDCR CPU voltage is 1.100; I need to know how much to increase it while using the stock cooler. Also, what does turbo freq on the processor mean?
