Unable to operate anything independently on my storage device.
I recently set up Windows 11 (enhanced with reviOS, since I’m not overly attached to standard Windows), but I encountered an issue with my backup drive. I had a backup hard drive formatted with NTFS on different Windows 10 systems before switching to 11. Now, when I attempt to move files, I receive an error that prevents the operation. The files simply relocate without their contents, and I’m forced to take ownership before deleting them. Previously, this worked during backups on Windows 11, but it no longer does. Anyone have suggestions on resolving this without reformatting the drive to a more standard format like exFAT?
It's unclear how I arrived at that idea. I'm still puzzled about why it functioned, especially since the owner was configured as system and not the prior user.
