Hello, My setup has repeatedly failed to access files due to green screen issues. I replaced the SSD and installed Windows 11 to move data to a new drive. However, copying folders or transferring files still results in errors shown as "unknown.png." I suspect permission problems, so I changed the drive's permissions and updated ownership to my administrator account. After confirming with the option to replace permissions, I encountered the same error messages. I’m struggling now and would appreciate any suggestions.

Attempt to launch Linux (Ubuntu) from a USB flash drive and move files from there. Reduces workload on the failing drive.

Thanks for your reply but unfortunately, when I load up a Ubuntu trial and try and transfer the data I also get a permissions error but this time on the destination disk. I couldn't figure out how to provide proper permissions here...

You successfully completed the data transfer with PowerShell and the copy-item command. Appreciate your effort!

Great job. Make sure to continue storing backups moving forward. Keeping backups is more affordable and simpler than trying to recover data later.
