I haven't changed the BIOS settings, so it still shows the original version that came with the board. There’s no option to update directly from the tools menu—it only lists a driver update. I downloaded versions 3.4 and 5.2 from the website along with the manual. I installed them on a Fat32 formatted USB drive and booted into the BIOS, but my toolset doesn’t include an UEFI update feature. I reset the BIOS to its default settings, but I’m unsure what else to try. The YouTube guide mentioned a specific option isn’t available here, which is unusual. Any advice would be appreciated. More details: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350%20Pr...x.asp#BIOS and my manual screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/EB3FFRW

Let's simplify this process. Many computer brands restrict BIOS updates through Windows, which might explain why they don’t allow it. To set things up correctly, follow these steps:

1. Use just one BIOS version on the USB drive—avoid any mixed files.
2. Ensure you only have the unzipped version of the BIOS file on the drive.
3. Turn off your PC and remove the CMOS battery for at least five minutes (longer if needed).
4. Reinsert the battery and try booting into BIOS.
5. If the tool isn’t found, adjust your BIOS settings gradually—don’t skip major jumps.
6. Try updating to version 2.5 first.
7. If it still doesn’t appear, some motherboards need a specific USB port for BIOS updates (like certain ASUS models).
8. Contact ASRock support via email for direct assistance.
9. If necessary, visit a local hardware store like MicroCenter for help.

These steps should help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

The BIOS version is quite old, even before Instant Flash was available. This explains why nothing appears. Use Rufus to format the USB drive again and confirm it's bootable. Change the label of the USB to "UPDATE". Then transfer the file into the BIOS and attempt the process once more. Consider trying BIOS 2.50 or 3.00 first. Also, stick with this method since you're running a first-generation Ryzen processor.

The AB350 Pro4 DOS BIOS can be booted from a USB. Generate a bootable USB using FreeDOS and run the executable. Prepare your FreeDOS 1.3 Lite, extract the necessary files, then place the FD13LITE.img on the USB, replacing existing data. Transfer the AB350 Pro4 DOS BIOS to the USB drive. Restart and select the USB during boot to access it. The drive should be A: or D: typically. Use commands like cd A: AB35P4_300.exe AB350 Pro4(3.00)DOS.zip to proceed.
