Hello, I need help for some reason I can't change the RGB of my fans. Asus Aura sync can't detect it. All of the argb headers are connected to Cooler Master ARGB/PWM Hub. I even tried the Cooler Master software it still can't detect the fans. Need help maybe I did something wrong or maybe you have suggestions. Motherboard : ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING Fans used (All from Cooler Master): MasterFan MF120 Halo x3 MASTER LIQUID ML360L V2 (SickleFlow 120 ARGB x3) Will provide more pics if needed.

That seems odd. I have the identical ARGB/PWM hub. Are all connections correct? The RGB connector is connected to both the motherboard and the hub—does it fit properly?

The hub may only work with specific fan models, and the fans on OP's cooler aren't compatible. Some use 5V ARGB, others 12V ARGB, and some might use a different communication method. For instance, Corsair's Lighting Node supports up to six fans, BUT they must all be identical (SP, LL, etc.). Mixing types like two LLs and four AFs won't work. As @PcBeExpensive pointed out, the controller might also need a USB header connection from the motherboard for software control and fan detection. I'm aware of that with my Commander setup. It doesnt need a usb connector, all it needs is a connector to a fan port and an ARGB port on a MOBO. It should work with all 3 pin 5v ARGB fans. There are two cables in the box, one has a 3 pin 5v connecter on on side and a small 2 pin connector on the other side, The small part goes into the Hub and the argb connector goes into an argb port on your mobo, the other one is a PWM cable, it has a PWM connector on one side and it has a wide connector on the other side, again the wide connector goes into the hub and the otherside into the MOBO.

It also requires a SATA cable for power, but since your fans are on, it's definitely connected.

Everything works together in one setup. The Hub gets power via SATA, while fans and lights are managed through PWM signals sent to a motherboard header. ARGB control is handled by a 3-pin header, and the hub is treated as a single device on the ARGB port.

They were discussing a motherboard USB header setup, not a standard USB port. Some devices need this feature for communication. A photo of the board shows it requires PWM/ARGB connections and SATA power. It’s possible the secondary PWM connections are on the back, not the front. You might need to adjust the BIOS settings to switch between PWM and DC modes. The PWM part is likely for speed control, while the SATA power is essential. Your setup only needs SATA power, not PWM. The MasterFan MF120 Halo x3 aRGB was linked together in a daisy chain, with the final header feeding into the hub's argb. A 3x splitter was used to route the fans through the chassis header. All Sickle Flow 120 aRGB headers were connected to the hub's argb, and the fans were powered via the hub's PWM.

The PWM setup on the hub allows connecting the fans to spin. Without a PWM connection, the fans would be plugged into something that doesn’t work.
