I was attempting to set up Ubuntu on my Windows 11 laptop. The installation reported an issue because BitLocker was active. After exiting the setup wizard to disable BitLocker, it locked the drive and requested my Microsoft account key. Normally this would guide me to a link for my account, but now I’m redirected to the Microsoft site with a message saying “we have nothing here.” How can I obtain my BitLocker key from Microsoft?
Occasionally Bitlocker is released by the vendor in an unusual manner—sometimes installed, sometimes not. Dell assistance might assist, but Microsoft could also provide support depending on the situation.

Did you configure Windows OOBE using a Microsoft account during initial setup? Ensure the keys are linked to the active account at that moment. Otherwise, your information is lost permanently.
He is able to switch to Windows and move his files onto an external USB stick for backup and decryption.
Navigate to Manage BitLocker, locate the feature, and you’ll find a choice to save your encryption key.
