I have a puzzling issue. Connecting to Rainbow Six Siege servers always requires a VPN, and this started recently. I’m certain it’s not due to changes on my PC or router. While I can join other online gaming servers without trouble, this game keeps throwing errors when I don’t use a VPN. I checked Reddit and forums, but most people seem to be facing similar problems. It’s unclear if the problem lies with the game servers or my own setup. A VPN seems to resolve it, so what kind of issue is affecting the game?

Why this question? I’m certain I’m not blocked. If I were, the message would specify it clearly. I didn’t break any rules, and IP addresses change automatically.

I'd talk to your ISP, sounds like you have some kind of routing issue. Essentially a VPN just changes the 'hop' in your routing.

I recognize this discussion as outdated, yet it’s useful to share these details. I’ve spoken with my ISP and other local users, who all reported the same issue and noted routing problems. The same occurred with CS GO, requiring a VPN to resolve it. After its initial occurrence, the problem repeated multiple times but has since been resolved. If you face similar challenges, consult your regional contacts and ISP for help.
