you have an archer t6e computer and noticed it can't link to your 5g wifi. you tried using a 5g hotspot on your phone, which worked, and other devices connected fine. after reinstalling the driver and restarting the router, the issue persists.

Did you accidentally adjust your DNS settings on your device? Remembering correctly, the DNS address seems unusual for TP Link routers. On the other hand, I own the same router as you did before, along with a Netgear Nighthawk, and my phone sometimes struggles to connect to the 5G network.

I don’t think it’s a TP link PCIe adapter and an ASUS router, just turned it on this morning and it didn’t work.

Check the wireless channel width and security settings. How close is your device to the router? Does moving it improve connectivity? Are you able to see the network on your computer?

5GHz refers to a specific frequency band. Avoid setting it to 'auto' unless necessary. Use WiFi Analyzer to check your local network conditions. Maintain consistent width to prevent automatic band switching that may not suit your devices. If available, opt for 80MHz; otherwise, stick with 40MHz since fewer devices support wider channels. AES or TKIP are encryption methods—choose based on your security needs.

I just received an ax200 with an adapter and everything is functioning properly again. I plan to show it to my friends and test it out, then share the results.
