I had to restart my PC recently and now it’s not connecting to the NAS. I’ve confirmed the NAS is functioning properly—it appears as a media device. When I try to map it, the connection fails no matter what I enter. Do you have any suggestions on how to get it set up as a network drive?

Review your computer’s Event Viewer and the NAS’s error logs for details.

The issue indicates Windows can't reach the specified device. This is noted as a Buffalo system.

Check the control panel, go to programs, then select "Turn Windows Features on or off." Scroll down and pick SMB 1.0/CIFS file sharing, marking "SMB 1.0/CIFS Client" with a check. Wait for installation to finish and restart your PC. You should be able to connect afterward. Test it out and share your experience!
