Hey everyone, I recently purchased a G.Skill Ripjaws V 64GB DDR4 memory with 4x16GB modules for my ASUS ROG Z390-E. It doesn’t work at the default 3600MHz and 1.35V settings. I’ve adjusted XMP profiles but it keeps looping to 'MemOK' until it can’t find a match, then reverts back to UEFI. The best speed I get is around 3400MHz, which works stably during stress tests. After swapping banks, it performs well up to 3800MHz, but once I go beyond that with more banks, it caps at 3400MHz. At 3466MHz with a voltage of 1.45V, it can boot through the initial phase but often triggers an immediate blue screen before Windows loads. Changing VCCIO or system agent voltages didn’t help. Turning off MemOK causes the DRAM LED to flash and disrupt the boot process. Any suggestions on what might be causing this issue?

Yeah, 4 dimms dont work at XMP. Pretty much been a thing for over a decade. Filling it out all the ram slots and attempting fast ram usually goes quite poorly. Im honestly surprised you even got 3400mhz to run, Often it doesnt go beyond 3000, usually 2666.

Using a high number of Max DIMMs per channel with strong density and speed can really stress the IMC and isn't assured to work well. It’s safer to stick with 3400 and fine-tune the timing if you need better performance. For non-gaming jobs, stability is more important than tweaking timings, so keep things as they are and lower the speed to 3400.
