I attempted to make a bootable USB for Windows 10, but the tool couldn't locate my 32 GB drive. My PC recognizes it, yet the media creation software fails. A colleague from Canada suggested using Windows 8 instead. It locates the USB and begins downloading it, then scans and prepares the files after several hours—around 21% complete. Should I accept this and purchase a retail version of Windows 10 or 8, or would you prefer to skip the process?

Avoid sending a USB drive to get the ISO file, then use Rufus to create it yourself.

It seems there might be an issue with the drive. I set up Windows 10 on two 16GB drives and a 64GB drive, and each installation completed in under an hour.

Where can I obtain the ISO file? The page keeps redirecting me to the media creation tool download section.

The Media Creation Tool offers the option to generate an ISO file rather than transferring it to a USB drive. I’ve utilized PowerISO to produce bootable flash drives from challenging media creation software. A free trial version is available. It functions as a complete application, though it displays bothersome notifications each time you launch it after the trial ends.

To obtain this evaluation version, you’ll need to follow the specific steps provided. It isn’t a physical copy but rather a digital format.

Use the Media Creation Tool to obtain the ISO file, then apply ISO2Disc to generate a bootable USB drive.
