Hi, over the last couple of weeks I've faced issues downloading files from the internet, especially OBS software and other programs. It only managed to download a few MB at first, then gradually extended the time until it took days even for small files like 50MB. My browsing in Chrome works fine, and the internet speed seems normal. I've tried different browsers, cleared my cache and cookies, used JRT, ADWCleaner, and netAdapater, but still can't get the downloads to work properly. I'm unsure if the problem is with the network connection or something inside the PC.

Have you checked if any add-ons are turned on?

It might be your firewall, or it could be because you're using a VPN, which may reduce your download speed.

it seems we need additional details to assist with bud's issue. are you using a proxy or VPN? is it connected via your home network, office, or school? do you have antivirus software installed? is the PC managed by your organization or a specific domain? is it using Wi-Fi or Ethernet? do you have enough space on your hard drive or SSD? have you tested downloading the same content on another device, perhaps your phone? review your browser extensions and remove any suspicious ones. though i suspect it might not be this one, as you mentioned trying other browsers too.

I don't use them at all. My setup is just a home network with Windows Defender. It's a personal PC running on an SSD with roughly 50 GB extra space. This is my system, and it hasn't been updated yet.

You can use the firewall to manage network traffic and enhance security.

Sure, just test it on your phone or another PC and tell us what you experience.
