Unable to exceed 2133MHz (CMOS cleared + D.O.C.P activated)
The situation described is limited, and I’m unsure what further actions are needed or if there’s a system bottleneck involved.
2666 with all four components would align well with my expectations. I believe a value around 2933 or 3000 is improbable, but anything above 2133 seems feasible. If you receive 2666, I’d prefer to settle there. I’m aware some people have reached 2933/3000 using 2000 series Ryzen, and for those in that range, the gap is minimal.
Are there any RAM modules in slots A2 and B2? With a 2000 series CPU, several users have noted they struggle to reach speeds above 2933/3000mhz. When DOCP is enabled, does either of those frequencies work?
I've completely filled all four RAM slots. Switching to any other speed than 2133MHz causes it not to boot. I've also tested increasing the voltage to 1.4, but that didn't help either.
Ah ok. When running 4 sticks it is usual for the maximum possible speed to be lower due to the extra workload on the memory controller, often the motherboard QVL list will show only lower speeds supported when using 4. Add to this that the cpu is a 2000 series which as I mentioned seem to often top out at 2933/3000mhz when using 2 sticks.
This 4x8gb RAM kit I assume is not on the motherboard QVL list for this cpu?
It's not locked because it hasn't been tested by the motherboard maker and isn't confirmed as compatible. Since the manufacturer didn't test every setup, you can try Corsairs Memory Finder to check if it supports that motherboard and CPU. Still, I'm unsure if you can reach 3600mhz with that CPU and four sticks. Can you even get speeds above 2133?
Works with the GEN 2 B450-f, though I currently have the GEN 1.
