I resolved the issue. It turns out updating the BIOS is now straightforward. Just load the latest BIOS file from the manufacturer’s site onto a standard USB drive, and the motherboard can initiate the flashing process directly from the BIOS interface. After upgrading from version F2 to F4a, I was able to turn off secure boot.
