Unable to detect Wi-Fi connection during startup of the new computer.
I recently purchased a gaming PC for myself. The motherboard is an ROG Strix B550-F WIFI-II. While installing Windows 11, it prompted me to connect to Wi-Fi, but my internet wasn’t available. After installing the Wi-Fi antenna, I couldn’t determine what went wrong.
It seems you haven't installed the WLAN drivers for the board yet.
I'm puzzled by the irony here. Unless they came with a support CD and a functional DVD drive, you'll need to either download the drivers on another connected PC with Wi-Fi or use a USB device to transfer them directly. I'm not trying to be critical, but built-in Wi-Fi often causes more trouble if it fails or isn't compatible. Edited June 22, 2022 by An0maly_76 Updated with additional details
You’ve saved the Wi-Fi driver on a USB stick and connected it to your PC. Now you need to install it properly.
Hold Win key while pressing R, enter "control" in the pop-up box. Press Enter. Control Panel will open. Go to Hardware and Sound, then Device Manager. You'll notice devices detected by the system. Your Wi-Fi might appear as an unknown network adapter or a disabled wireless adapter. Locate it and double-click. A dialog will show a "Driver" tab—click it. There should be an option to install or update the driver. Choose "Browse my computer for drivers," which opens a file manager window. Select the appropriate driver file, and the installation should begin automatically. Restart if needed.
