I don't understand my DDR rating, I don't know the motherboard, but my processor is an Intel Core i5-8400 CPU. I'm only considering buying more memory since I have 8GB.

From what I can tell, you have one DDR4 2400 module. To find the exact model, use CPU-Z to get the manufacturer and part number. Check the SPD section for more details.
