Using that motion against the mainboard with thumb and finger pushes the board away, while the thumbs grip the plug. This is the easiest (assuming you skip the nail) method to remove a stuck plug. Begin with light pressure and slowly increase it. You're welcome =)
Today I successfully completed the task. I used a small screwdriver and gently pulled in opposite directions until the cable moved toward me. Then I applied some pressure to extract it. The HDMI port remained intact. Thanks for your assistance. God bless you.
