I run Windows 10 x64 and Windows 8 x64 across two hard drives. In my Windows 10 Pro, the "My Document" folder now shows a "READ ONLY" status. That’s why I can’t save my FIFA 18 Carrier mode. I looked into the folder activity security settings in Windows Defender, but they weren’t enabled. I’ve switched back to Windows 8 and started a new carrier mode in FIFA 18, but it still fails to save. Recently, the folder attributes changed again in Windows 8 inside "My Document." If FIFA 18 isn’t saving, something’s definitely wrong with the operating system. This is really frustrating.

This seems to be a problem with Windows 10. I've encountered several issues with it. You can fix it using the console (if you run it as administrator) or by downloading the "Add 'Take ownership' to context menu" guide from TenForums. That worked for me. It's frustrating dealing with ownership attributes on Windows 10.

Review file permissions in the Security section (right-click → properties). Verify full ownership. SYSTEM, <your username>, and AdministratorS must appear, with all checkboxes checked except Special Permissions. Proceed to Advanced and confirm ownership is listed under your name.
