Unable to configure Proxmox to allow PCI devices.
you're trying to configure a virtual machine on your server using a dedicated network interface, USB hub, and graphics card. you've installed the NIC but aren't managing it properly to route traffic to your VM, and despite following all steps, you're still facing issues.
The nic stands alone within its own category, avoiding any complications. It's a high-end model with 2x x5650 modules, evenly distributed across both chips.
The other drive uses a different NIC. Since the NIC is unavailable, a virtual switch is recommended.
Last night I included section 9 about hardware pass-through in my PROXMOX guide. I faced a challenge with enabling IOMMU groups; initially, using pve-efiboot-tool to refresh seemed necessary, but it didn’t work. Instead, running the update-grub command resolved the issue and allowed the IOMMU groups to function as expected.
The overhead is significantly reduced, and using virtual NICs performs much better for most applications. Have you tested it with the GPU? Was Iommu detected in the boot log?
