Hello, I’m experiencing an issue where I can’t capture anything higher than 480p. The video quality is very poor and it’s not improving. I’ve tried using OBS, Fraps, DxTory, and Action! in sequence, but the result remains the same. My current setup seems to be stuck at this low resolution. I’m wondering if there’s something missing from my software list that could fix this. Everything worked fine before, so it must be related to what I have installed.

It's more about the software configuration than the hardware itself...

I might also consider updating the software. I've used Camtasia for a while, but it was becoming unstable. Once I got the latest release, everything worked perfectly.

Your hard drive might have slowed down over time.

I didn't remember Camtasia. Perhaps I overlooked it. P.S Sveikas.

I've used camtasia before, but it captures video at the same low resolution. Do you know of any better alternatives?

Your equipment isn't performing well enough. Either the RAM or CPUs limit the performance level. MSI Afterburner is worth a try, but I doubt you'll get good results from it either. Use lower bitrates for better smoothness, though this will reduce overall quality.

Thanks for the update. I’ll attempt to reduce the bitrate. It’s strange to recall I could capture 720/1080p just a year and a half ago—maybe my hard drive is slowing down over time.
