Hey there, I noticed your Dell Optiplex 3020SFF has a Realtek PCIe GbE Family Ethernet Controller. Under Device Manager it seems the Wake on LAN option isn't visible, and the Advanced tab doesn't show any properties either. You mentioned WOL is enabled in BIOS and everything else is up to date, but fast startup is off. I tried disabling the modern sleep feature via regedit but didn’t get a result. Any suggestions?

If it's activated in the BIOS, that's all that matters. Other window configurations don't matter.

Turn off the deep sleep feature in the BIOS settings so that WOL functions properly on the latest Dell systems. Locate the deep sleep option within the power management menu of the BIOS.

Tried it before, nothing worked. Want more ideas? Here are some files you mentioned.

Based on what I've seen, I needed to turn on WOL in Windows to connect another PC. But so far, just setting it up in the BIOS hasn't helped.

Verify that Wol is activated in the Windows driver settings. If missing, obtain the most recent driver from Dell’s website, as some updates may improve functionality. Turn off Fast Boot in Windows and disable hibernation as well. Check if your router is preventing the broadcast of UDP port 7, which Wol uses as its main port. What router model are you using?

You meant to clarify what "driver settings" refer to. I made sure you installed the latest drivers, verified your device manager, and ran Dell software for updates. You're using an xFi Gateway 3rd Edition from Comcast. I didn't realize this step was needed, so I'll test enabling Wol on another machine to check its performance.

That's exactly what I was referring to with the device manager. Also, it seems WOL functions on your other devices, but this particular setup lacks power management features for the Ethernet adapter within the device manager.

Checking for a BIOS update might resolve the issue. WOL could be faulty on that system. We frequently work with Dell and experienced with a batch of 7020 SFF PCs where WOL didn’t function at all. The models we purchased before and after performed perfectly. Usually we’d have them serviced under warranty, but we only found the WOL problem after warranty ended when we began using them as spare units.
