Hello. I was attempting to build a password recovery live CD and tested it on my machine. It functioned correctly until I encountered an issue listing my PCs' operating systems. After some online advice, I found a suggestion about modifying the CSM parameters. Once I applied those changes and restarted, the computer booted up and bypassed the "please use proper boot device" screen. The straightforward solution was to adjust the BIOS settings again. However, pressing "esc" to enter the BIOS menu during POST didn't work. It seems the problem isn't with the keyboard, as it operates normally at startup. I'm uncertain about the next steps now.

The main concern is why you're creating a CD to break computer passwords. This seems suspicious and potentially harmful.
