Unable to access BIOS/UEFI settings.
Hey there, I tried to turn on XMP via BIOS but couldn't access it. The normal method using DEL/F2 doesn't work because my PC boots straight into Windows 10 without letting me choose. I went through the troubleshoot steps—restart, then Advanced Options, UEFI settings—but the BIOS entry isn't there anymore. I also disabled Fast Startup in Power Options, but it didn’t help. Could there be a newer update affecting this? Thanks for your help!
Unfortunately, this indicates the current state when I open Startup Options. Here’s a revised version:
- Enable video mode at reduced quality
- Turn on debug settings
- Start logging during boot
- Switch to safe mode
- Disable driver signature enforcement
- Turn off early antivirus startup
- Remove automatic system recovery from failure
I turned on the ultra-fast boot setting a year ago, but it still let me access BIOS. Changing the CMOS didn’t work (unless I did it properly—removed battery from MB, waited a bit, then put it back).
I might have discovered the problem... I just checked a few things and noticed my C drive is partitioned in MBR instead of GPT... That must be why I can't boot into BIOS via either the advanced startup or the command line. Probably I need to dig through my computer again to resolve this. Thanks for your support @thewill102!
