Relevant details: MOBO model Asus p8z77-V LX i7 3770k with 16GB RAM, RX80, Win10 fast boot disabled. When asked to press Del on the MOBO screen it doesn’t work. Violent key presses show boot devices but arrow keys won’t reach UEFI settings. Pressing Enter or Esc has no effect. Holding shift and clicking Restart doesn’t open UEFI. The system appears to be from 2012 and this issue hasn’t been seen before. I’m struggling and need help—my time is running out.

Sorry to hear that. The KB is a Corsair Strafe MK.2 with two USB ports. I haven’t experienced any problems accessing it recently, just today.

Check for any device modifications. Plug in USB thumb drives, controllers, etc. Unplug everything except the display and keyboard, then rearrange both keyboard USBs to identify if the problem lies with a port. Some ports appear unresponsive, while others work fine—similar issues have occurred with my Corsair keebs and some motherboards.

Thanks for the updates. I changed ports, turned off other gadgets, and used Backspace, ESC, Del, F8, F2, and repeated pressing. Still nothing. I’m doing a full shutdown each time instead of just restarting. It’s been around three hours... I haven’t felt this frustrated in a while. No major device updates recently.

It seems like you're describing a frustrating issue with UEFI settings and keyboard configurations. Try to simplify your explanation: You're having trouble getting into UEFI, and certain keyboards need specific steps to enter a legacy mode. Hopefully, others facing the same problem can help you quickly. Thanks for your responses!
