Hi, I'm setting up a new PC with an I7 12700, a RogStrix B660-i gaming Wi-Fi, and the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3080 Ti AMP Extreme Holo. When the display connects via DisplayPort, I can't access the BIOS and the screen turns on when Windows starts. But with HDMI, I can reach the BIOS (it starts automatically so I can view it). Any advice on fixing this? It seems the issue might be with BIOS setup. Let me know if you have any ideas!

It seems the default might be igpu, but switching to pcie or the newer standard could work better. Plugging it into your mainboard should reveal this change. You have two monitors connected via display port, one as the primary and another as secondary—often the secondary boots normally.

I connect HDMI to the graphics card without issues, but it fails with DisplayPort. No connection detected on the motherboard.

You have IGPU installed. For testing, plug it in and check if it appears. I faced a problem where I had to completely shut down the IGPU in BIOS for it to function properly.

most recent computers automatically use HDMI at startup, even without a display or an HDMI cable. this guide https://10scopes.com/change-default-disp...r-in-bios/ explains how to set DPI as the default in BIOS. it also details steps to adjust settings for better performance.
