I got a newer Asus laptop from 2022, but it’s locked out of the BIOS. I tried removing the battery and nothing worked. The alt+r key won’t function. Any tips? Thanks, Compwhiz4u

Locked out means you cannot access the system or perform actions without proper authorization. In the context of Windows, this can happen if you're unable to use keyboard shortcuts or if the admin password hasn't been set. The UEFI restart option is a way to reset the system if needed.

You can lock yourself out of the BIOS by resetting it or using factory settings.

It goes against the rules of the forum to just state the policy itself, which makes it wrong for me to inform someone about that too. It’s a tricky situation!
