Un PC plante inopinément.
Over the last couple of months, my PC has been shutting down unexpectedly. It powers off completely without any BSOD. The hardware remains connected, but the system simply stops. I have to manually disconnect or cut off the power to get it back on. I reinstalled Windows from scratch and rebuilt the PC thoroughly, checking all connections and even replacing the PSU to rule out that as a cause. The PSU is rated for 1000 watts, so drawing more than that isn’t feasible. In the Event Viewer, the issue seems linked to NIC compliance and a Windows Hello driver problem. A generic driver error was reported online, and after updating drivers, the problem persisted. I ran the Windows Driver Verifier, which pointed to an Asus driver as the culprit, but removing it didn’t fix the issue. I’m now stuck without clear guidance and feel overwhelmed by the situation.
