Hello,
I record a lot of gameplay clips tonight, but they appear distorted because the refresh rates on my desktop and in-game didn’t match. This causes the videos to look compressed. Here’s the link to the video I uploaded:
View: https://youtu.be/FWQWPfLNwiY?si=_j7MFo7jVpd74vqJ
Is there a way to improve these recordings so they look better?

The problem you described occurs with captured content exclusively. What method are you using to capture your content? The refresh rates shouldn't lead to distortion in your images; it's more likely your aspect ratio is incorrect or the resolution setting in the capturing app is wrong. Please keep it to one thread to prevent confusion.

The widescreen 1440x800 info remains visible in the video when you right-click and choose the last Stats for nerds option. It becomes clear on the capture size of 1433x806, but it disappears when played back on standard monitors. Many of us have non-widescreen displays, and YouTube often displays the current or optimal resolution (1920x1080) instead. I’m not familiar enough with how YouTube manages widescreen videos for regular 16x9 screens or widescreen monitors to assist you. You might need a video editor to convert the 1440x800 captures into a letterboxed format that mimics widescreen on standard displays. It would be helpful if someone in the YouTube upload community could provide guidance, perhaps through a tutorial or discussion thread.
