If you obtained it from Steam, check the files and confirm everything is correct. You can run all games in admin mode except Steam because of restrictions or settings applied to those specific titles.
You can't simply tap their icons on the desktop. Either enter the command I mentioned earlier or follow this method: Launch Steam, go to Library, then Games.
