Ultimate New Model: 4090+7950X3D in Black Screens
Updated: CMH32GX5M2B6200C36 included a faulty DIMM. Tested my old Corsair Dominator Platinum in a friend’s machine—another bad DIMM found. Extremely disappointing QA from Corsair; both kits bought from Amazon a year apart. I got a GSkill F5-6400J3239G16GA2-TZ5RK 32GB 6400mhz kit, but it wouldn’t boot at 6400. I lowered it to 6000mhz (standard for the 7950X3D) and it worked well—very stable even with PBO + Curve Optimizer settings. All cores, 4090, plus 750 memory, plus 150 Core, plus 75GB RAM. My YEAR-LONG problem with this machine was caused by Corsair; thank everyone for your support! If you’re seeing a black screen like me with an Nvidia driver, check your RAM.
Sorry to bring this up again, but have you checked Memtest86+ on your faulty RAM? I'm facing the same problems (Ryzen 7 7700, RTX 4070 Ti Super, 32GB DDR5 Kingston). I've replaced the GPU twice, upgraded the CPU, but nothing works. I've run multiple tests with my RAM—six passes in Memtest86+ with no errors, and I've tried using one stick at a time, which also caused crashes. Despite that, many users reported success after swapping out the RAM. I just wanted to confirm before purchasing a new set.
