I just wanted to ask about the speeds people in the UK experience when downloading games from Steam. I’m only seeing 9.3 MB/s, which seems slow, don’t you think? I’ve seen some videos and made a few tweaks in Task Manager—like going to details and adjusting steam.exe priority. My current setting is ‘normal.’ Would changing it to ‘high’ really make a big difference for my system and speed?

Is that wired or WiFi?
megabits/sec vs megaBytes /sec.
Small b vs big B
bits vs Bytes.
Your ISP reports in megabits, Steam reports in megabytes.
Approx 8:1 ratio
If you see a tested 70megabits from your actual connection, Steam reporting 9.3MB/s is right on track.
Nothing is broken or needs fixing.

I would leave it as is, considering it depends on time and user count. It's generally fine. I just switched to sky and reduced the size to 7mbs, but it works okay.

I receive speeds ranging from 30 to 70Mbps via my router, which varies based on whether my family is using their computers.
