I understand this card is quite old, but if it functions at all, it should work fine for your needs. I own a Linksys WMP54G version 4, and I haven’t located the drivers anywhere. I’ve tried the Ralink drivers since it uses a Ralink chip, but Windows reports an error: "the device cannot start, error code 10." I previously used this card with Windows 7 64-bit. Now I’m trying it with Windows Vista 64-bit. Why can’t I get it to work? I downloaded the Ralink drivers from MediaFire because their site no longer exists. The Linksys page doesn’t load, but a Wayback Machine snapshot still shows it. This is essentially my only wireless option—two of my computers are already using my spare routers as bridges. This card is meant for a folding rig. When I was trying to get Linux to fold, the adapter worked instantly. But with Windows Vista Business, it’s not cooperating. Any suggestions other than replacing this outdated wireless card?

I followed a method to get my FireWire card functional. I’m curious if you’ve used the Device Manager to install drivers. Choose a file you’ve saved when prompted.

That’s essentially how I approached it. I placed a wireless router inside the PC and acted as a wireless bridge.
